Obituary of Vincent "Vinnie" Lafalgio

Vincent "Vinnie" Lafalgio, 72, died Monday, January 4th, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY as a result of the COVID-19 virus. Vincent was born on March 9th, 1948 in the Bronx, NY to the late Anthony "Sonny" Lafalgio and the late Mildred "Millie" (Lepre) Lafalgio. He was married to Joanne (Scicutella) Lafalgio for 21 years. Vinnie was a United States Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War and he received his degree from the school of hard knocks. In addition to his love for his wife, Joanne, and his family, Vinnie loved motorcycling and meeting all types of people that comprise the biker community. Vinnie, also known as "Goomba" was an active member in the 12 step support group for the last 23 years and touched the lives of countless people through his actions and entertaining testimonials. He is survived by his wife Joanne, son Anthony, daughter Christina, brother John and his domestic partner, Joann, step-daughter Jenny, step-son Tim, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vinnie was pre-deceased by his parents Sonny and Millie, 2 sons Vincent Jr. and Joseph, sister Rosann and his siser-in-law Susan. There will be a visitation for Vinnie on Friday, January 8th, at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, NY 10923. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Vinnie on Saturday, January 9th, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY 10923 with military honors to follow.
