Obituary of Laurie A. Lopez

Laurie Ann Apuzzo Marsalisi, 59 passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Laurie was born on June 3, 1963 in the Bronx & was predeceased by Dominick & Dolores Apuzzo. Laurie grew up a daddy's girl! Laurie went on to graduate North Rockland High School in 1981. She had several jobs which she took great pride in. She worked for Damiani Sanitation for many years. She then moved onto driving a school bus. She was a dedicated religion teacher & a faithful parishioner of St. Peter’s Church.

She is survived by her adoring husband, William & loving children. Eric (Valerie), Amanda (Juan), Jessica (Thomas), Maria, Nicholas (Erin), Vincent (Ginnelle). Her grandchildren, Milania, Azmarae, Nicholas Jr., Elizabeth, Amelia and Delilah.

Laurie was most proud to be a grandmother. She loved spending time and taking care of her beautiful grandbabies.
She is survived by her siblings, Anthony (Lily), Kim (Gary) and Dominick (Denise) and Great Aunt Anna & Uncle Bill (Denise)
Laurie had many special friends who loved her. She will be greatly missed.

We take comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with her parents and many family members. 
 

Laurie’s visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17th from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Soms Funeral Home in Haverstraw, NY. Mass will be held on Friday, November 18th, 10am, at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, followed by a private cremation.
